People use NDIS supports for different reasons. LYFIT works with participants, families, carers, nominees and authorised support coordinators to discuss routines, communication needs, personal goals and the types of help that may be suitable.
Our approach puts dignity, informed choice, clear communication and practical daily outcomes first. Each enquiry is considered against individual circumstances, relevant funding, staffing capability and current availability.

Explore Support Coordination →Understanding SIL and SDA
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is help with day-to-day tasks and supervision. It does not generally cover rent or ordinary living expenses. Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a separate NDIS support related to housing for eligible participants. SIL support and SDA housing have different eligibility and funding requirements; neither availability nor a housing vacancy is guaranteed. Contact LYFIT to discuss the options relevant to your circumstances.

LYFIT Services FAQs
Which NDIS services does LYFIT offer?
LYFIT’s main service areas are Day Programs, Supported Independent Living, High-Intensity Support, Behaviour Support, NDIS Respite, In-Home Support, Community Participation and Support Coordination. Contact us to discuss current availability and suitability.
How do I know which support is right for me?
Tell us about your goals, routines, NDIS plan, location and preferred support arrangements. LYFIT can discuss relevant service options and explain next steps; final arrangements depend on eligibility, suitability and capacity.
Is Supported Independent Living (SIL) the same as SDA housing?
No. SIL funds assistance or supervision with everyday tasks; it does not generally pay for rent or ordinary living expenses. Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a separate housing-related NDIS support for eligible participants.
What is NDIS respite (STA)?
Respite can give eligible participants support for a short period while their regular informal carers take a break. It is commonly called respite; current NDIS funding guidance uses the term short-term accommodation (STA). What is funded depends on the participant’s plan and NDIS rules. Read the official NDIS guidance.
Can LYFIT help with High-Intensity or Behaviour Support?
You can enquire about either service. The team will review the specific support requested, current worker or practitioner suitability, location, capacity and funding before confirming what LYFIT can deliver.
Can a support coordinator or family member make a referral?
Yes. Participants, families, nominees, carers, support coordinators and authorised representatives can contact LYFIT to discuss a referral. The participant’s consent and appropriate authority should be confirmed where relevant.
Does LYFIT cover every suburb in Sydney?
Availability varies by support type, suburb, staffing and individual requirements. LYFIT focuses on Western Sydney, South-West Sydney and surrounding areas; contact us to confirm your location.
